Maha Qasim

Founder & CEO

Climate change & ESG expert with 16+ years of experience in managing climate-related projects including environment & social impact assessments, bespoke sustainability and climate change strategy, and climate finance.

As CEO of Zero-Point Partners, she leads client engagement and oversees a team of experts specializing in ESG strategy, advisory and capacity-building, sustainability reporting, and climate risk assessment. As ESG Faculty Lead at the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG), she leads ESG curriculum development and conducts ESG capacity-building workshops for board members and sustainability executives.

Earlier Maha served as Country Advisor, Pakistan, to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation – working with program teams to develop a coordinated donor-government strategy and cultivate partnerships to advance strategic goals. Prior to this, she led the climate finance strategy for a leading renewable energy company and a commercial bank – successfully securing their accreditation to the Green Climate Fund (GCF). She co-authored Engro’s first Sustainability Report and led the registration of a 220 MW flared gas power plant with the UNFCCC to earn carbon credits.

Maha has co-authored papers on Energy Security and Green Finance for the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI). She serves on the Board of the Global Youth Leadership Center (GYLC) – an international nonprofit that aims to expand youth’s knowledge about climate science, build their leadership skills, and engage them with climate action. She also serves on the Leadership Council of the Pakistan Chapter of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network.

Maha has a Master’s in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Environment and a BSE in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Princeton University.
