Moneeza Ahmad
Gender Specialist
Gender & Sustainability Expert with over 17 years of experience in project design, project management and evaluation in social development, gender equity, livelihoods, climate resilience, enterprise development and education.
Moneeza led the development of a Gender Action Plan to mainstream gender considerations across Pakistan’s first Green Climate Fund project established by a local commercial bank. She conducted focus group discussions and interviews with various stakeholders to identify the key challenges around women’s access to renewable energy finance in Pakistan and developed recommendations to inform the design of a new financial product targeted towards women entrepreneurs.
Working with Engro Corporation and various United Nations agencies on agriculture and livelihoods, Moneeza has designed and overseen social impact programs in the housing, community health and income generation sectors – and incubated over 500 female micro-entrepreneurs in the agriculture, dairy and carpet-making industries. She has also worked with numerous multi-donor agencies and consulted for non-governmental and private sector organizations in Pakistan, Asia, the U.S. and Europe, in the areas of social development, community health, sustainability and social impact, enterprise development, research design and implementation, and strategy consulting.
Moneeza has an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Humanistic Counseling from CPPD in London and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Toronto, Canada.
