Problem

A multinational packaging company wanted to evaluate the eligibility of their fuel switching project aimed to replace diesel with locally sourced biomass against the criteria for carbon credit projects according to international methodologies and standards

Solution

Evaluated the project using Verra, Gold Standard, and Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) methodologies to determine project’s eligibility to earn carbon credits in the Voluntary Carbon Market

Conducted a thorough review of the additionality criteria for similar projects, evaluated requirements to demonstrate regulatory surplus, and conducted a barriers analysis; Provided recommendations to the Client on project’s eligibility for carbon credits.
